get going

I just heard on the news that the have quartentined a town in China saying that they think it's a plague worse then the black plague. Just a blurb. No worries. WTF. Somtimes live is so absurd. I have a rough day ahead of me. I have to make loads of phone calls. Lots of being put on hold. Frustrating. I am setting an intention this morning to keep all of the exernal crap from making me crazy. I have accepted my part in this mess. Even though I did what I thought I was suppose to do, I made choices that put me in a postion that I have to make the calls in the 1st place. I need to move forward, being kind and patient. To myself as well as others.

Setting out to walk. I so dont' want to go this morning. My legs are kind of sore, my back hurts.....blah blah blah. I'm going.

  2. Uh oh... I'm feeling a little plague-y this morning. What are the symptoms?

  3. Being put on hold is what speaker phones are for :)
And don't worry about the plague - they say stuff like that to scare us! (Real, though it may be)

  4. Well, if that plague is as bad as they said the swine flu would be, then there is nothing to worry about, lol!

Good luck getting through your phone calls. And good on ya for walking even though you don't want to - it's those times when exercise counts the most!

  5. That's why I don't watch the news. Good for you for having good intentions. Hope things go ok and that work isn't to bad.

  6. I don't watch the news either. You are so strong and marching right through things as tough as they are.

  7. Hope today is not as bad as you think it will be. Had a pretty rocky start this morning myself but pushed thru it - and you will too.

  8. At least you don't have the plague! Great choice to walk even when you're not really into it - keep it up!

  10. I feel your pain girl. Just when you think you can't take another thing...smack, right in the kisser. Hang in there.
Thanks for the comment today. I think the emotional part has been what I've been missing all these years in trying to lose weight. I think it's more about me never feeling "enough" than the food really. Working the steps is painful but necessary.
Good for you on AA & NA. I also go to Al-anon since my fiance is an alcoholic. When he gets released & back into society, I want to go to some open AA meetings with him.

Keep your chin up; things will get better.

  11. Sometimes I so do not feel like taking that walk either, but I hope that you already did and you've experienced that sort of victory feeling I get when I've done it even though I didn't want to.

One little slice of conquest on this journey.

  12. One walk at a time - that's how to get healthy and fit!

    The news always scares me.

  13. If I were a betting woman, I'd bet that you did great today. It was unpleasant, but you faced it. You did. Good on you.
