We get our day in court!

My daughter called yesterday and annouced that she and her hubby have a court date for the girls adoptions. July 13th!! We are over the moon excited and are so thankful these sweet little girls are going to part of our family forever!

Still going strong...eating right, walking, ect. However I have got this dang cough. The kind of cough that makes you pee your pants...ladies, you know what I mean. I wish I could make it go away. I was so close to just skipping my walk this one buddy is on her way to Austria and my other buddy has an infected toe so she bailed on me. I told myself just take it slow, you only have to do to 1.5 mile don't feel good...blah, blah, blah. I got started and did the 3 miles in less then 45 mins. So good for me! Felt really good and sweaty.

Just want to thank everyone that left comments from yesterday. I thrive on your encouragement, inspiration, and heartfelt concern. I will say it again....You've got my heart. What a great bunch of blogger friends! No doubt the meth was hard to kick, but I'm telling you this food thing is a whole different ballgame. You have to eat, it isn't illegal and it's everywhere! Sometimes I think they should make overeating a felony! LOL

Keep the mood and the food real......and thanks everyone again!

  1. 3 miles in 45 minutes - you were really on. Good for you!

So happy to hear about the girls' adoption. We had the same kind of happy day 13 years ago. It is such a blessing. Congratulations!

  2. Congratulations on the upcoming adoption!!
And i do have to say that there is no better community online than the blogging one :)

  3. Hooray for July 13th! So happy for your family!!!

I love that you convinced yourself to go walking and then doubled the length...I swear, just starting is most of the battle! Good job!

  4. I am so glad that you were able to continue walking without your walking partners! What a feat to accomplish 3 miles in 45 minutes is awesome!

  5. Wow - on the 3 miles in 45 minutes. You were kicking butt. I like your idea about setting the bar lower (1.5 miles) and then exceeding it.

And -- congrats on the adoption date. That's wonderful!

  6. If that were the case, I'd be in prison! ;)

  7. Wooo hooo...great news on the adoption!! Now it will be final what is already final in your hearts!!!

  8. So glad to hear the good news on the Adoption front! I am adopted myself so I can identify :-)

  9. Congrats on the adoption news!

Wow very strong indeed, missus! *impressed* I feel like I have a bit of a cold coming on.

  10. I'm so excited for you, and for the little girls to be part of your wonderful family. They are so lucky...I feel so sad for so many kids who don't have a loving family like yours.

About the view in my photo of my flower...that flower is on the table in my living room. Yes, that's my view and I do live on the water. I'm very lucky.

P.S. I am glad you changed your photo, this one is so much better and cuter.

  11. Life is good!! So happy for you, and agree about the pic--this one is really cute!

  12. Just a little reminder my friend about the froggy weigh in today! Good luck! Jinx!

  13. Yeah, ya gotta eat. I takes total commitment and lifestyle change for sure!

  14. Congratulations on the adoptions!

The normal day-to-day walks are something to feel good about but the ones where you just don't feel like it or are a challenge are the ones that really show us what we're made of and feel so damn good! Way to walk on!

re: That guy IS funny eh? hehe
and I really liked your "lighten up" interpretation ... knowledge ... great one!

    YEAH! no word verification!!! :)

Tell me what you think!
