what do you do over and over

Well I had a pretty good day yeterday. Weigh in was good....lost 2.5 lbs. Now if I can just keep it off this time. I keep gaining and loosing the same 3 lbs for about 3 weeks now. I am a half pound higher then my lowest weight. I know what to do, I just need to follow thru. I really need to up my H2O, not drinking near enough.

I am going to walk at work this morning on the treadclimber. My walking buddy is too busy to walk this morning, besides, it's kind of cold this morning. I don't like to walk by myself before dawn. Kind of scary. I have downloaded Two Fit Chicks podcast and plan to listen while I walk this morning. Kind of excited about it. If you don't know about this podcast visit Mizfit or Dietgirl. It was Shauna's book that lit a fire under my butt and got me into this bloggin thing. Thanks again Shauna!!

Things are still quiet on the homefront. Nothing earth shattering. Just lots of doing the same thing over and over. Nothing wrong with that. Building good habits. I am a creature of habit.

Keep the mood and the food real......what is something you do over and over?


  1. Gah! I've been bouncing around the same couple of pounds for a month now. I just need to keep returning to what I know works for me

    Yeah, the back and forth tango can be demoralizing. Here's hoping you can power through and start stringing great weeks together.

    Glad the scales are going down again, maybe you just needed a bit of a break. Time for the homeward stretch now, though!

  4. Shauna's blog is one of the first weight loss blogs I ever visited. I bought her book too.
    She still blogs after all this time is what I find so amazing too.
    and MizFit ... she's a true gem.
    What I do over and over is piss people off. I'm really good at that. :D

    I hope you have a great walk on the treadclimber this morning, Dana and hang in there.
    Is there something you can tweak to kickstart your fat loss? Anything? Do you need to eat "more" often but smaller meals maybe? I have to change things up all the time to keep the pounds coming off.

  5. Two and a half! That's a terrific loss in one week. I am happy with an average of one pound in a week. It's tough to get in the exercise that would speed things up when you work full time and have several commitments each week at night. Three or four sessions is a goal. You're doing great!

  6. They say the third time is a charm, so hopefully you'll break the three-week cycle!


  7. You may be bouncing around with the same few pounds, but you are inching lower as you said you were 1/2 pound lower than your lowest weight!

  8. I've been bouncing around the same few pounds forever. You'd think i was on maintenance! Not :)
    Need to give myself a kick.
    I think you're doing great. And thinking of ways to make walking more fun is a great idea.

  9. Hang in there Dana I know how you feel with the bouncing around. But you are still moving downward at a steady pace and that's what matters. I'm sure you'll have another good week next week. Way to go on the 2.5 lbs.

    I loved Shauna's book, I really got a lot out of knowing it took her 6 yrs to lose her weight but it was just about never giving up. It gives me hope to know I can get where ever I want to be. You can too. *hugs*

    I haven't listened to their podcast but will soon.

  10. Good news on the loss. I do what you do...lose/gain the same weight over and over just before breaking into new territory. Grrr - so frustrating.

    you gave me a "lightbulb moment" mentioning water intake. I have just realised i am not drinking ANY!! I have four cups of tea a day asnd that is just not enough fluid.
